Paula Dunigan Bland
I am a Florida Registered Paralegal who has lived in Tampa, Florida, since 1988. When I moved to Tampa, I worked for the Internal Revenue Service, Criminal Investigation Division, before accepting a position at the United States Attorney’s Office where I worked in the General Crimes Division, Organized Crime and Drug Enforcement Division and then the Appellate Division where I was the Supervisory Secretary for the Appellate Division of the Middle District of Florida. I supervised the Appellate Division support staff in Tampa, Orlando, Fort Myers and Jacksonville. After several years, I left the U.S. Attorney’s Office for a position in private practice. I started out as a paralegal handling: life insurance churning cases, multi-district litigation, criminal and various other types of cases. After gaining knowledge of the inner workings of cases in the private sector, I accepted positions in: a family law firm; a personal injury firm handling wrongful death, products liability (many Ford/Firestone cases), auto accidents, slip and falls, etc.; a medical malpractice/nursing home firm; and an employment law firm. Over the last 20 years, I have been fortunate enough to jump between the family law firm and the personal injury firm that I referenced above. Although my employers have been very good to me over the years, I have decided to begin my own personal journey. Seeking my own path has led me to this attempt at starting my own freelance paralegal services business and I hope you will give me the opportunity to assist you in your times of need. I am widowed with no children.
